Included in this packet are (8) grade 18-8 stainless steel machine screws (bolts) with Phillips flat head tops and are cone shaped under the head, (8) stainless steel low profile nylon insert lock nuts and (8) stainless steel flat washers. Some riders don’t use washers because they do not care for the additional weight. We like them because the surface of the washers is over 40% greater than the underside of the nut and this spreads out stress over a larger area. You can use them or leave them off.
